Full Description After a morning pickup from your hotel, you will travel through the scenic Eastern region of the Dominican Republic toward the capital. The first stop is at the Los Tres Ojos National Park to view its famous open-air caverns. Upon arriving in Santo Domingo, the tour transitions to a historical exploration of the Colonial Zone. An expert guide will lead you through 500 years of history, explaining the significance of the stone buildings and fortresses that launched the conquests of the New World. You will visit the Catedral Primada de América to witness its stunning colonial architecture and stroll through Plaza de España. Between historical landmarks, you will have the opportunity to see the modern side of the city, including the Malecon boardwalk and various government buildings. The afternoon includes free time for shopping for local keepsakes like Larimar, amber, and cigars before the return trip to Punta Cana.
