Your adventure begins before sunrise at the pier in Puerto Jiménez. From there, you board a boat for an approximately 1.5-hour ride across the gulf, passing dramatic coastal rainforest landscapes. Along the way, you may encounter marine wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, or even humpback whales during certain seasons.
Upon arriving near Sirena Station, you may step off the boat by wading through shallow waters—adding a true sense of expedition. With your guide, you’ll hike through jungle trails rich in biodiversity. The forest is alive with sound and movement: monkeys swing above, colourful birds glide between branches, and if you’re lucky, you might spot the iconic tapir.
Your guide will lead you through several paths near the ranger station, sharing insights about the ecosystem, animal behaviour, and the importance of conservation in this remote region.
