Full Description ?️ Our journey begins at 10:00 AM at the José Martí statue in Central Park. From here, we walk to the historic Bacardi Building, once the rum giant’s headquarters, to discuss its fate after 1959. As we weave through the streets, your guide will explain the intricacies of the Cuban rationing system at a local grocery store and delve into the poignant history of "Operation Peter Pan."
We then visit the Museum of the Revolution to view the Granma Yacht, used by Fidel Castro to arrive from Mexico. Passing the Spanish Embassy and a local primary school, we gain insights into the evolution of education on the island. After marveling at the Capitolio, we catch a local bus to the legendary Plaza de la Revolución. This historic square, flanked by the images of Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos, serves as the perfect final backdrop to conclude our immersive history lesson at 1:00 PM.
