This tour departs early from Jaco (or Playa Hermosa), and begins with a scenic drive of about 1.5 hours through Costa Rica’s striking volcanic and jungle landscapes. Once in La Fortuna, you'll visit the iconic La Fortuna Waterfall, where you can swim in the clear, cool pool beneath the cascade and soak in the lush rainforest surroundings.

Next, you’ll trek along lava trails formed by the volcano’s historic 1968 eruption — guided, you’ll learn about the volcano’s geology and ecology. After the hike, enjoy a stop at a viewpoint offering impressive views of Arenal Volcano.
