You’ll begin at Las Terrenas, then head into the countryside on dirt roads flanked by cacao and coffee fields, with sweeping views over Samaná Bay. You’ll stop at a classic mountain farm where a local family welcomes you; you’ll learn about organic farming, how coffee or cacao is made from tree to table, and taste fresh coffee, hot cocoa and honey. Then you’ll continue your ATV ride through fields, farms and viewpoints until you reach a beach on the bay where mangroves merge with sea to form a shallow, safe natural pool for a refreshing swim. On the way you’ll experience a mix of adrenaline, nature and culture — perfect if you want more than just beach time.
