Full Description ?️
Your journey begins early in Punta Arenas, where you will be transferred to Laredo Bay to board a speedboat. As you cut through the historic waters of the Strait of Magellan, keep your camera ready for Peale’s dolphins jumping in the wake. Upon reaching Magdalena Island (Los Pingüinos Natural Monument), you will disembark for a one-hour guided walk. Following a marked trail, you’ll be surrounded by thousands of curious penguins.
Afterward, the boat navigates to Marta Island. While you won't disembark here to protect the ecosystem, the boat gets close enough to witness the thunderous barks of sea lions and the flight of imperial cormorants and skuas. Throughout the trip, a professional guide provides fascinating insights into the behavior and conservation of these incredible species.

Travelers are consistently mesmerized by the sheer volume of penguins on Magdalena Island, often describing the experience of walking just inches away from the birds as "priceless." The efficiency of the speedboat navigation is a major plus, allowing for a deep-sea adventure without the exhaustion of a full-day trek. The expert knowledge of the guides and the "lucky" sightings of dolphins make this a top-rated bucket list experience.
