Begin with pickup from your accommodation in Puerto Plata at approximately 09:00 AM. Your guide leads you via scenic transport into the rainforest of the Cordillera Septentrional mountains. The walk up to the waterfalls is moderately strenuous and follows a jungle trail with uneven terrain and rocky creek crossings.
Once you arrive, you’ll be equipped with a helmet and life jacket. Then the fun begins! Slide down smooth rock channels, jump into turquoise natural pools, and swim through the cascading tiers of waterfalls. The route may cover up to 12 falls (in some packages up to 27), but most travellers complete about 7–12 cascades within the available time.
After the water adventure, change into dry clothes and enjoy a freshly prepared Dominican lunch buffet — typically rice and beans, chicken or pork, fresh salads, bread and beverages. Finally you’re returned to Puerto Plata, arriving back in the early afternoon with memories of a thrill-filled nature excursion.
