Highlights ✨
Full Description ?♂️
Our journey begins in Leoncio Vidal Park, the bustling central square where Santa Clara's history and daily life converge. From here, we explore the neoclassical beauty of the surrounding buildings, including the La Caridad Theater—one of the few colonial theaters still standing in Cuba. Your guide will share the story of Marta Abreu, the city's great benefactress, before we move toward the more revolutionary chapters of the city's past.
We will walk to the Monument to the Seizure of the Armored Train, where you can see the actual derailed wagons from the 1958 battle. The highlight of the tour is the visit to the Che Guevara Sculptural Ensemble, where the remains of the revolutionary leader rest. After paying our respects at the mausoleum, we shift gears to explore Santa Clara's modern side. We’ll visit the El Mejunje cultural center, a haven for diversity and local artists, and stop at the Café Museo Revolución to see a private collection of historical artifacts. The tour concludes near the city center, leaving you with a deep understanding of why Santa Clara is so vital to the Cuban identity.
