From Sabana de la Mar, board a boat and glide through the Caño Hondo River, entering the mangrove forest of Los Haitises National Park.
You will marvel at the dramatic karst landscape — the dense mangroves and the mogotes, towering rock formations jutting out of the water.
Explore two caves carved into the rocky terrain, both of which contain prehistoric art: petroglyphs and pictographs made by the Taino people.
