Full Description 🚣
Your journey begins at the designated meeting point where you will meet your local guide. The first part of the adventure takes you on a 2-hour hike through the lush tropical rainforest. As you walk through fields of coconut and cacao, your guide will point out the primary forest areas and explain the historical significance of the "Haitises" (highlands) to the original Taino inhabitants. You'll reach the springs of the Jivales River, which feeds the natural pools of the region.After the hike, you will gear up with life jackets and kayaks to explore the water-side of the park.Glide through red and white mangrove swamps, listening to the calls of pelicans and other endemic birds.The tour culminates at the open San Lorenzo Bay, offering incredible photo opportunities of the mogotes (limestone hills) rising from the sea. After approximately 4 hours of activity, the tour concludes back at the starting point.
