? Full Description
Your off-road journey begins with an early morning or afternoon pickup and transfer to the buggy ranch near Macao. Upon arrival, you'll receive a safety briefing and instruction on operating your automatic transmission buggy (available as single or double seaters). Once briefed and helmeted, the adventure begins! You will follow your expert guide in a caravan, tearing through the remote countryside, navigating rugged trails, and splashing through fun mud pits. This drive provides a unique look at rural Dominican life, passing palm trees and plantations.
The first educational stop is typically a quaint country ranch, where you will learn about the process of growing and producing celebrated local products. You will sample delicious organic cocoa, chocolate, and coffee, and taste the local aphrodisiac, Mamajuana. Back in the buggy, the next exciting stop is a hidden natural cenote (cave). Here, you can cool off and wash away the mud with a refreshing swim in the deep, revitalizing underground water. Finally, the longest drive of the day takes you to the breathtaking Macao Beach, one of the last undeveloped stretches of coastline, where you’ll have time to relax, swim in the ocean waves, and enjoy the stunning scenery before returning to the ranch for your transfer back to your hotel.
