Begin your journey in the morning from Samaná and travel by scenic ferry to Sabana de la Mar, then transfer by land to the Caño Hondo Eco-Retreat. After arriving and settling in, you’ll enjoy the calm ambiance of the retreat, with time to unwind beside spring-fed pools and stroll garden paths under moonlight. As night falls, a delicious Dominican-style dinner made with local ingredients awaits.
On day two, after breakfast, your guide will lead you on a boat expedition through Los Haitises National Park: navigating through mangrove tunnels, exploring hidden coastal lagoons and entering limestone caves that house ancient Taíno petroglyphs.
