Full Description ?
Day 1: Your driver picks you up in the Jarabacoa region and transfers you to the Manabao swamp trailhead. Begin a moderate hike of about 4 km through lush jungle terrain to reach the mountain camp at La Compartición (≈ 2,450 m).
Day 2: After breakfast at camp, you begin the main ascent (~13 km) through forest of pine, ebony and mahogany, ultimately reaching the summit of Pico Duarte at approx. 3,087 m above sea level. Pause to absorb the sweeping mountain views, then descend back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast, you hike from the camp back down to the Manabao swamp trailhead. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the route, then transfer back to your meeting point in Jarabacoa in the afternoon.
