Begin your journey in the morning from Samaná and travel by scenic ferry to Sabana de la Mar, then transfer by land to the Caño Hondo Eco-Retreat. After arriving and settling in, you’ll enjoy the calm ambiance of the retreat, with time to unwind beside spring-fed pools and stroll garden paths under moonlight. As night falls, a delicious Dominican-style dinner made with local ingredients awaits.
On day two, after breakfast, your guide will lead you on a boat expedition through Los Haitises National Park: navigating through mangrove tunnels, exploring hidden coastal lagoons and entering limestone caves that house ancient Taíno petroglyphs. The natural wonders, flora and fauna all around provide a deep connection with nature. After the tour the return journey brings you back via Sabana de la Mar and the ferry to Samaná, with memories of untouched landscapes and tranquil waters.
