? What to Expect (Full Description)
The tour begins with hotel pickup (from Punta Cana or nearby, depending on booking). Guests are taken to the beach office in Bayahibe, from where a speedboat departs. The boat ride starts the trip along the coast passing by the protected area of the eastern national park.
First the group visits Mano Juan — the small, tranquil fishing village on Saona Island, where you get a guided village tour and visit the turtle-conservation project.
Next stop: Canto de la Playa — a secluded beach ideal for snorkeling or simply relaxing in clear Caribbean waters. After beach time, the group proceeds to Catuano Beach, where a traditional Dominican lunch is served, followed by optional swimming or rest.
After lunch, the tour explores the mangrove area (part of the national park), offering a chance to learn about the ecosystem and possibly see sea turtles.
The final beach-lounge stop is the Piscina Natural — a shallow, calm ocean “pool” with warm turquoise water and starfish, perfect for snorkeling and relaxation. Later, the boat returns to Bayahibe, and transport brings you back to your hotel/resort.
