? Full Description Your day begins with a pickup from your hotel in Varadero as we head south toward the Zapata Peninsula. Our first major stop is the Crocodile Farm, where you will learn about the breeding and protection of the Cuban crocodile, an endemic species. After exploring the farm, we venture deeper into the national park to hike the "Bermejas" trail. This area is a haven for birdwatchers, offering the chance to see the smallest bird in the world—the Zunzuncito—as well as the Cuban Trogon and the Cuban Tody.
The journey continues to the Soplillar area, where we visit a bird breeding center to learn more about the park's conservation projects. Throughout the tour, your professional guide will share fascinating insights into the complex ecosystem of the swamp and its importance to the Caribbean. After a morning of discovery, we sit down for a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant. We conclude the day with a relaxing drive back to Varadero, arriving in the late afternoon.
